To Name or Not to my Dishrag
Well, I guess it doesn’t matter what you call the washrag, washcloth, dishcloth, or face cloth you are using as long as you know what you are talking about. I call the cloth I wash my dishes with a dishrag, but the one I wash my face with is a washcloth; however, it is important to remember that these two are not interchangeable. I just cannot wash my face with the same cloth I wash my dishes with, no matter what is called. I guess we could call it the dumenfluger if we wanted to as long as it does the job, so I guess the name of my dishrag is not important, as long as no one hands it to me to wash my face with. :-)

Thoughts on blogging
The problem is, I hate to blog, I hate putting my thoughts down for the world to read and then I would rather knit for than write anyway so I should really change the name of this blog, huh. My goal for 08 is to blog at least once a week, I am going to try and keep at it. I love reading other peoples blogs, I just can't get it to work for me, which sucks :-)
I have joined the Defeat the Doldrums Dishcloth Exchange which looks like fun, this is my questionnaire-
1. Do you knit, crochet, or do both? Knit
2. What types of needles do you enjoy using for making dishcloths? Addi Turbos
3. What types of cotton do you enjoy using for making dishcloths? Is there any that you've been wanting to try? Peaches and Cream is my favorite, but I have been thinking about trying the cotton ease that Lion Brand has.
4. What color(s) are your kitchen and bath decorated in (if any)?
Kitchen- Yellow and white
Bathroom- beige, white, tan
5. What are your favorite colors for yarns? Least favorite? I prefer bright colors for yarn, I dislike dark colors, especially for dish cloths.
6. Do you like Winter, or do you count the days until it ends? I like winter, bundling up by the fireplace and knitting is great way to spend the day.
7. What's your favorite way to brighten your day when you're down in the dumps?Get moving, walking, going to the gym or going swimming.
8. What is your favorite treat to indulge in and when your down in the dumps?
Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate :-)
9. Do you drink coffee? Tea? Cocoa? Tea and cocoa
10. If you could take a vacation starting tomorrow and go anywhere for one week and money were no object, where would you go and what would you do?
My very favorite place in the world at this time is Coki Point beach on St Thomas, VI. It is the most perfect beach in the world and if I could go there and lay on the beach and read, snorkel, and drink I would be happy forever. But to be truthful, almost any beach would do as long as it is clean and there is a bar on it (with waiters that deliver the drinks).
11. Do you have any allergies or aversions your pal should be aware of? I am allergic to penicillin, so pleae do not grow mold and send it to me :-)

I am so excited, my swap partner’s yarn came today and it is beautiful, Carrie did a beautiful job on it. I wish I could keep it, but that is not happening, I am only waiting on the book that I ordered for her and my kit will be ready to go. I wonder how much it costs to send a package to Wales. . .
I do not think I will join the next swap; it takes too much time from knitting and other stuff, though it has been a great deal of fun. I wonder how Jenean has time to do this, because she spend a lot of time setting the swap up and putting the Quidditch stuff out for the participants.
I am very tired tonight, my poor kitty, Onyx, kept me awake last night with her crying, she was just spayed and declawed and I have never had a cat cry so much after having this done before. I now feel so bad, that I am carrying her everywhere she wants to go, what a sap I am.

I want to knit today, so this is brief. I give up on looking for the Snitch, who can figure it out? I don’t even know where I am supposed to look to find it. The person I bought the sock yarn for my partner in the swap from is in Gryffindor, Carrie, what a coincidence. The yarn she dyed is beautiful; I cannot wait to touch it.
I am currently working on a dishcloth, and it is very pretty, but I am feeling the urge to do socks. So today, I am going to work on big black socks for SFS and a pair for my daughter. Dinner (shredded pork burritos) is in the crock-pot, so I am off to knit. Have a great weekend!

I am so bad, I have a hard time keeping up with a blog, and I wasn’t sure, when I started if I would be able to, but I am trying. I have ordered my swap partner’s yarn, needles, stitch holders and a few other goodies. I am not quite sure what all to put I the kit, but I am making her a Booga bag, which is almost done. I took the bag with me last night when I went to the FOX Theater to see Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and knitted while waiting for the show to start. I am using the blue and gray colors since those are the only ones I could find near enough to Ravenclaw colors. I hate not have a LYS near me, and I refuse to drive 50 miles in heavy traffic for anything. It is a good thing I like the internet shopping because I would have no clothes if I didn’t, which is a scary thought.
Quidditch starts this week, I have never taken part in this before, and this is my first HSKS swap, so I am anxious to see how it works. Gryffindor is in the lead right now, but that can change quickly.
I have frogged a pair of socks that I am making for my daughter a couple of times now and I am getting very irritated with ??? myself and the pattern. I have been using Knitpicks Dancing on them and they have a climbing rose pattern up both sides and it is a beautiful pattern, but I tend to get lost (or sidetracked) when I am doing it. I may just put them away for a while and start them again when I have more patience (if that ever happens).
